Dr. Devorah changed the course of her career to
specialize in the holistic approach to health care for the developing infant and
child. She believes the combination of her training in Neurology
and Psychiatry has amplified her appreciation of Cranial Osteopathy.
She went "back to basics," in using her highly skilled and trained hands. She often states: "I went from using Cranial Osteopathy as a last resort, in difficult and failing cases, to a first-line treatment for all my patients. Often patients no longer need medication and can avoid surgery." Dr. Devorah also speaks about how "Children often have complex issues these days, particularly because of the impact of our environment and our diet." She therefore emphasizes the importance of diet and nutrition in maximizing your child's healthcare. "The environmental and allergic medical problems I see in patients today far exceed those of my own two children, Hickory, 23, and Erik,17."
Dr. Devorah enjoys working closely with her patients and their families to provide diagnostic, consultative, and supportive medical care. She strives to increase parents' and children's understanding of their conditions and therapies. She believes that information builds hope, empowers patients and their families, and facilitates the healing process. Her unique and highly effective approach to diagnosis and treatment of pediatric disorders integrates traditional osteopathy (cranial-sacral), diet and nutrition, neurology, developmental and behavioral pediatrics. She emphasizes the importance of addressing all aspects of your child's mental, physical, and spiritual health. Dr. Devorah works with other like-minded physicians and allied health care practitioners who together each provide a vital link to your child's health care.
